Focus on your dissertation with group coaching from the Student Success Team

If you’re a final-year student currently writing up your dissertation or project, we know it can feel quite overwhelming and, for some, it can often be difficult to tackle a particular section.

That’s why, over the coming months, several services across the University are running sessions dedicated to helping you find the motivation and confidence to complete your dissertation.

Here, we’ll be sharing information about the opportunities available from our Student Success Team.

Group Coaching with the Student Success Team
Group coaching involves working with peers and our dedicated Academic Success Coaches to identify your strengths, overcome any barriers, and develop your know-how so you can thrive.

These sessions consist of a combination of effective questioning, discussion, group work and practical activities, all of which will provide you with the skills to stay on track with your project.

The sessions take place in-person, and some themes will group students into specific discipline areas so that the content is most relevant to you. Many of these will be taking place over the coming months – more information can be found by clicking the links below:

Personalised 1:1 Coaching

In addition to the dissertation sessions, the Student Success Team’s dedicated Academic Coaches provide exclusive and individualised 1:1 coaching to help students unlock and achieve their full potential.

You will learn a range of effective techniques that will enable you to:

  • Identify and play to your strengths, overcoming any barriers to success
  • Improve academic performance through the development of key skills
  • Gain the confidence to access the best university resources, services, and initiatives

You can sign up for 1:1 coaching and staff can also refer students here.
