Planned network outage: Loughborough Design School - 7 April

On Thursday 7 April, there will be a full day outage on the eduroam Wi-Fi and wired network service in the Loughborough Design School.

This work will impact everyone requiring network access. 

Services affected include:

  • Computer labs
  • Specialist IT equipment
  • Phone services
  • Backup and restore service; restores will not be possible for the duration of the outage

IT services recommends working from an alternative location on this day.

This is essential maintenance on the electrical supply as part of the PODS 2021 project.

This project is to upgrade parts of the Datacentre architecture commonly known as 'Pods'. This architecture hosts 600 virtual machines that underpin key University systems such as iTrent, Agresso and LUSI alongside supporting teaching and learning activities.
