Class of 2020 was a digital graduation celebration for summer and winter 2020 graduates and their families who were unable to attend traditional in-person ceremonies due to Covid-19.

As part of the campaign, a one-hour ‘live’ show was produced, photo props were made available to download, graduates received a special #LboroGrad2020 postal souvenir, video messages were sourced from alumni around the world congratulating the 2020 cohort, and audiences were encouraged to get involved through social media and a variety of other channels.

Class of 2020 was a huge success thanks to the following teams: Alumni Engagement, Creative and Print Services, Teaching Support, and Web and Digital.

Members of the Loughborough family were involved across the campaign. The Vice-Chancellor and Chancellor featured in the live show with alumnus and Sky Sports presenter Mike Wedderburn, which also featured a number of other special messages from academic staff across schools and departments, messages from students, and from alumni.

This award marks a successful streak for the Alumni Engagement team in Marketing and Advancement in particular, as they were awarded Bronze in the same awards program last year for #LboroMemories – a nostalgic campaign sourcing photos and memories from our alumni.
