New staff wellbeing guide for remote working

The University’s Human Resources and Organisational Development (HROD) department has launched an online guide to support staff working remotely during lockdown.

The guide, How we work during lockdown, covers topics including remote teaching and learning, how to help ease feelings of isolation and the support available for those juggling work and caring responsibilities.

A range of useful resources – from personal development opportunities to technical guidance – is included, as well as suggested ways to communicate with your team and your line manager to feel connected and supported.

An additional guide specifically for managers and PDR reviewers will be issued via email over the coming days.

Adèle MacKinlay, Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development, commented: “The wellbeing of colleagues and of their families is of paramount importance to the University. Staying connected with colleagues is an important aspect of remaining healthy whilst working remotely. This guide is intended to help you manage your wellbeing during this unprecedented time.”

The guide is available on the staff wellbeing webpages, where there is further advice on staying happy and healthy at home.
