Loughborough’s campus library has reopened

The Pilkington Library has reopened its doors to staff and students, with measures in place to ensure users are safe.

Open Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm, numbers are initially limited to 20 individual study spaces and 8 PCs on Level 3.

Currently access to bookshelves on lower levels is not possible but the Library offers a book fetching service for print books on the Loughborough campus. There is a limit of 10 books per person and this is subject to staff availability and demand. If you require books you can email library@lboro.ac.uk with the book details and your borrower number and your order can be collected from the Library. The Interlibrary loan service is also available and staff will try to facilitate access to items electronically wherever possible.

If you are using the ‘stay and study’ service please bring your own refreshments as the café and vending machines are closed. Please ensure that when using this service you take note of the guidance provided and adhere to social distancing measures.

If you cannot visit the campus, many of the Library services are still available remotely, including digital content that can be accessed via PC or mobile device. If you have any queries you can email library@lboro.ac.uk.

Please note that all current loans have been extended automatically and fines have been removed so you need not worry about returning books. However, there are book drops open outside the Library and the Students’ Union if you are on campus and want to return your books.

Further updates and information about available services can be found on the Library website.
