Current Students and Staff

You may be aware of the long-standing dispute between UCU (the University and College Union) and Universities UK regarding the USS (Universities Superannuation Scheme) pension provision. 

UCU will shortly be balloting its members for potential industrial action on both the pension issues and pay. 

We have organised two staff briefing sessions, one on the Loughborough campus and one in London, to give an update on the most recent developments in the USS pension discussions and provide an opportunity for staff to comment on or ask questions about the options available to us as we navigate the months ahead.

Colleagues from the University’s UCU Committee have been invited to the briefings.

Staff who are members of USS or are eligible to be members have been notified of the sessions. For anyone who cannot attend, the presentation will be made available after the event.
