Students: Are you interested in a study exchange?

Loughborough University will hold its first International Study Exchanges Fair, aimed at providing students with information and advice about the opportunities available when undertaking a study exchange.

The event will take place on Wednesday 23 October from 1pm–3pm in the Exhibition Area of the James France Building.

The Fair will be an opportunity to talk to the central Exchanges Team, School staff who have specific responsibility for study exchanges, and students who have just returned to Loughborough from European and international destinations.

Some of the returning students will deliver presentations on their study exchange experiences and answering questions after. For more information, please see the Presentation Timetable which will be updated on a regular basis.

There are a number of benefits to undertaking a study exchange. For example, did you know that students who study abroad are 10% more likely to be in a graduate-level role six months after graduating, and are 19% more likely to get a first-class honours in their degree compared to their peers that don’t?

Other advantages of studying abroad include:

  • Getting ahead in the job market, approaching business issues from another cultural perspective and having a stand-out CV
  • A different and new outlook on a study discipline by learning in a different context, which will be both challenging and highly rewarding
  • An international network of new friends
  • Preparing for an ever-increasing internationally mobile world
  • Gain new life skills – building on personal development, pushing new boundaries and exploring the world.
  • Having the time of your life – studying at university is all about new experiences and making the most of the opportunities that are available
