Don’t miss out on the Diwali celebrations on campus
The University’s Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Staff Network is hosting a dinner and dance to celebrate Diwali.
On Friday 25 October, students, staff and their families are welcomed to celebrate the Hindu Festival of Lights, marking the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.
The evening offers a wide variety of entertainment including Bollywood singing and dancing and a performance from a Dhol drummer.
Food is also included in the ticket price, including a three-course buffet with vegetarian options and full bar facilities for hot, cold and alcoholic drinks.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Adviser, Abida Akram said: “Diwali is a festival full of joy and we welcome staff and students from all walks of life to come along and celebrate with the BME Staff Network.”
