Students: Important information about Electoral Registration
When you registered at the University at the start of year you were given the opportunity to consent for your data to be shared with Charnwood Borough Council for the Electoral Register.
Many students consented and should be registered to vote in the forthcoming General Election.
A dedicated website has been created that lists all the essential information you need to know regarding Electoral Registration and the election. In addition, an email has been sent to your student email address from ‘Notifications’. There is different guidance depending on whether you are living in halls or off campus.
It is important you read this information if you want to exercise your democratic right to vote. The deadline for Electoral Registration is 26 November.
Remember - you are responsible for checking you are able to vote.
