Street food festival set for graduation week

The catering team have organised a street food festival to be held Tuesday 16 July – Friday 19 July, 11.30am-2.30pm to celebrate graduation and thank all the staff that contribute to the Loughborough experience.

The stalls will be set in Shirley Pearce Square in an all-weather marquee so you can enjoy the food, drink and music come rain or shine.

If staff bring their university ID card, they can get all of the dishes on offer for only £5. There is a wide selection on offer, encompassing many different cultures.

Dishes include Wok On rice and noodle dishes and Indian dishes from Masala Dabba. The Smokehouse Grill will provide BBQ options and there will also be paella, a salad bar and a coffee cart offering tasty treats.

Food for students and visitors is £6.95.

The festival hopes to promote equality and diversity through food and drink.

Gagan Kapoor, Head of Catering at the University said: “Our staff and students from around the world are, and always will be highly valued and welcomed members of our multinational, multicultural and outward-looking community”.
