Disruption to water supply on campus

Please be advised that some of the buildings around the Ashby Road area of the campus may have their water supply disrupted today (22 July).

This is due to further repairs being carried out by Severn Trent following a burst water mains pipe on Ashby Road on Monday 15 July.

The University has been advised that the work is expected to take all day today. Buildings already reported as affected are Hazlerigg Building, Rutland Building, Security Gatehouse and the Students’ Union.

As a result, there may not be any hot or cold water available throughout the building or you may experience a limited supply. Toilets may also be affected as water tanks may become empty.

Sir Richard Morris, Haslegrave, Schofield and Brockington buildings are connected to a different water supply and so are recommended as alternative facilities that can be used in the affected area.

Estates and Facilities Management are aware of the situation and are awaiting further information from Severn Trent. In the meantime, if you require any further details please contact FM helpdesk by calling 222131 or emailing fmhelp@lboro.ac.uk.
