Loughborough hosts Women in Aerospace dinner with industry experts

The University hosted the third Women in Aerospace dinner event earlier this month, with students, staff and industry experts all in attendance.

Organised by the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Propulsion and Power – of which Loughborough is a partner of – the purpose of the event is to connect aerospace students with leaders in the field.

These experts vary from academics, government and industry experts, providing an opportunity to network, give advice, encourage and inspire young women who want to progress in the sector.

Delegates included representatives of Rolls Royce, Siemens, Dyson, Reaction Engineer and Airbus, and the keynote speaker of the night was Patricia Gruber, Technical Director for the Office of Naval Research.

Attendees on the night commented it was ‘an inspiring evening’ where ‘lots of very useful aerospace contacts’ were made.
