Information for students regarding the General Election

If you are intending to vote in Charnwood in the forthcoming General Election please note:

  1. Voting at polling stations takes place on 12 December, between 7am and 10pm.
  2. You can only vote at a specific polling station. This will be on your polling card. You do not have to bring the polling card to the polling station, but it may help. Polling cards have now been issued.
  3. If you have not received your polling card and want to check you are on the electoral register to vote in Loughborough, you can call the Council on 01509 634546 (although please call before polling day as on that day there is likely to be a high volume of calls).
  4. Charnwood Borough Council is only responsible for postal votes for the Loughborough and Charnwood constituencies. If you have requested a postal vote for the constituency where your home is, you will need to contact the relevant local council, not Charnwood.
