Students: Are you interested in working in Japan?

The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme is a Japanese government initiative which aims to improve foreign language education in Japanese schools, as well as promote international exchange. The programme has placed over 10,000 UK graduates in positions throughout Japan since 1987.

The two positions available for UK graduates on the programme are Assistant Language Teaching and Coordinator for International Relations. More details on these roles can be found here.

There will be a presentation at the Loughborough University Language Centre (Room K105, Herbert Manzoni Building) tomorrow (Friday 9 November) from 5pm where JET will meet with potential aspiring applicants to discuss the opportunities available and provide a more thorough understanding of the application process. They will also cover the history and aims of the JET programme, expected salary, conditions of the programme, eligibility and future career prospects.

This presentation is aimed at final year students, however first and second-year students are also welcome to attend. Please note the JET programme only accepts applications from those with British Citizen status.
