Remembrance memorial at University campus

The University and Loughborough Students’ Union have created a memorial on campus for the second year running to honour those who lost their lives serving their country.

The structure, which is located on the Hazlerigg-Rutland Lawn was showcased this morning ahead of Remembrance Day on Sunday 13 November. The aim is to create a field of poppies as a true mark of respect for fallen war heroes.

For a donation of £5, you are invited to add a personal tribute to help create a spectacular field of remembrance. Poppies will be displayed in the lead up to Remembrance Day 2016. All monies raised at the University and through Rag will be sent to The Royal British Legion after the appeal has finished.
