Human Resources team win award for most transformational HR project

Loughborough University’s Human Resources (HR) team have won the award for the ‘Most Transformational HR/Payroll project’ at this year’s MHR Customer Association (MCA) Conference.

The MHR Customer Association (MCA) Impact Awards are held every year by software provider MHR during the MCA Conference. They celebrate projects and teams from iTrent customers across all sectors nationwide who have used the iTrent software to enhance their practice.

The winning project from Loughborough, titled ‘Make me a University Teacher’, was created with the aim of streamlining the process of how casual staff claim for their hours of work.

Since the project has been implemented, the quality of HR service to claims teachers and their departments have improved, while also improving the quality of HR data.

The contract issuing process from paper previously took between 12-47 days and can now be produced in 0-2 days using iTrent. There has also been a 24% increase in the number of users of self service to submit online claims forms.

Director of HR, Rob Allan, comments: “We are delighted that our work has been recognised in this way. The changes to the University Teacher process have been transformational and the work has affected staff across the whole campus, not just the HR team, so thank you and well done to everyone involved.”
