University announces arrangements for Special Projects Fund
The University is welcoming bids from community groups across Charnwood for its annual Special Projects Fund.
The Special Projects Fund is one of four rounds offered by the University as part of its Community Donations Fund programme. The fund is designed to support projects that that are ‘one off’ or ‘special’ in nature. Bids should be submitted by Thursday 11 February.
A maximum of £15,000 is available per year and bids between £5,000 and £15,000 will be considered.
Capital and/or revenue projects, including staff posts will qualify for funding but bids to support general administration are not considered appropriate for this fund. Bidding organisations must be non-political in nature and based in Charnwood.
To date the Special Projects Fund has supported the creation of an extended community room for the Three Close Tenants Association, creation of a skate park for the Ashby Road Community Association and the employment of a dedicated member of staff to organise food parcel sessions at local charity Joseph’s Storehouse.
Bids should be submitted by Thursday 11 February. For further information or to download an application form, please click here or visit lboro.ac.uk/community. Alternatively, contact Kiran Beri (firstname.lastname@example.org).
