About this event

Each year, Loughborough University students on the master’s courses in ‘Creative Writing and the Writing Industries’ and ‘Contemporary Literature and Culture’ undertake a module called ‘Writing in the Community’. During this module, students collectively plan, curate, promote and hold a literary festival funded and supported by LU Arts.

Speakers at this year’s festival include Penny Batchelor, whose work blends domestic noir and sci-fi to crime writing, Kathryn Cookrill Woolard, who specialises in short stories, and Ricardo Uribe-Victoria, author of sci-fi and fantasy fiction.

The schedule of events taking place is as follows:

All events will take place on the Loughborough University campus and are free. More information can be found on Instagram @luliteraryfestival
