Participants needed: The influence of vision and touch on body perception
11 December
- For Staff and Students
- Research participant call-outs
We are looking for participants to join a research study exploring the factors that influence body perception and that may be related to unusual sensory experiences.
What will participation involve?
- This study will ask you to take part in one in-person session that will last around 20 minutes.
- The session will include two short questionnaires and a quick activity involving a mirror and your forearm to investigate the influence of vision on the perception of touch.
- This can be in any convenient location on the Loughborough University campus, or in public.
Who can join? Any adult who does not have:
- Diagnosed or known neurological damage,
- Diagnosed or known peripheral nerve damage,
- Vision difficulties (effective glasses and contact lenses are fine).
What are the benefits of participating?
- This study is a quick way to contribute to PhD research and further our understanding.
- Many people find similar activities to those in this study enjoyable, and you may learn a new demonstration to share with others.
