Looking for male rugby players (18–30) to take part in a one-time study on how resistance training affects the heart. Includes a free heart ultrasound and body composition feedback.

I’m recruiting male rugby players aged 18–30 for my MSc dissertation at Loughborough. The study looks at how resistance training affects cardiac structure and function, comparing forwards and backs.

It involves just one testing session (60–90 mins) and includes:

  • Free heart ultrasound (echocardiogram)
  • Body composition analysis
  • Feedback on your cardiovascular health

To take part, you must:

  • Be aged 18–30
  • Currently play rugby
  • Have done resistance training for at least 12 weeks
  • Have no heart conditions or current injuries

All testing will take place at the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine (NCSEM)
