Upcoming multi-agency critical incident response training - 24 July 2025

This will take place in the Student Village, primarily around Elvyn Richards hall of residence, from 8am-3pm. All the roads in this area of campus (apart from Elvyn Way, where the Purple Onion is located) will remain open as usual.

To support the logistics of the training exercise, we anticipate that nearby car parks (eg Car Park 7 and the Library car park) will be restricted on the day and the evening prior to accommodate support vehicles and catering.

We would like to reassure staff, students and campus visitors that there is no cause for concern – this is a routine exercise examining how agencies can best work together should a major incident occur. The perimeter of the exercise will be cordoned off to ensure members of our University community do not accidentally walk into the training exercise.
