TUCO Annual Summer Conference (21-23 July): Information for staff and students

TUCO is the leading professional membership body for in-house caterers working in public sector catering, and their conference is anticipated to bring around 500 attendees onsite.

As a result, the campus may feel slightly busier on these days. In particular, areas to the east of campus will see an increase in activity, predominantly around Martin Hall, Shirley Pearce Square and Sir David Wallace Sports Hall. The area around Edward Herbert Building will also be impacted throughout the day and evening of 22 July.

Please take care when navigating these areas on foot or by vehicle and follow any diversion signage in place during this time. There may also be drone activity during the course of the event to capture marketing and promotional material.

Whilst car parks will remain open during the event, locations such as Car Park 9 and Car Park 1 may be busier than normal. Additionally, users of Car Park 5 on 22 July will not be able to turn left out of the car park from 12pm due to a partial road closure of Margaret Keay Road.

Those working in the Bridgeman Building may also experience some noise disruption during the day during set-up for the evening activities.
