The University was proud to host the Women’s FA Cup Second Round Draw on Monday 26 October, just one day after Loughborough Lightning’s incredible defeat against Nottingham Trent in their first-round fixture.

During the 30-minute broadcast, Hannah Langford, who recently became Loughborough Lightning's most-capped player, and fellow player Morgan Rogers were interviewed following the team's standout 5-2 victory over the weekend.

They were joined by fellow teammates and other community women’s football teams alongside special guest Courtney Sweetman-Kirk.

The draw revealed that Loughborough Lightning will next face either Preston North End or i2i International Soccer Academy in the second round, with the postponed tie between those two sides taking place on 1 November.

Hosted in the Sir David Wallace Hall, the Draw was broadcast live on TNT Sports, Channel 4 and the FA’s YouTube channel.

You can catch up and watch the footage back on the Women’s FA Cup YouTube channel.
