Opportunity for final-year SDCA students to showcase your work

Textiles work hanging from the ceiling as part of an exhibition.

LU Arts are commissioning a series of video diaries that chart students' progress towards the 2026 Degree Show.

Each year, LU Arts commission final-year students from Loughborough's School of Design and Creative Arts (SDCA) to produce a vlog or video diary charting their thoughts and work as they progress towards the Degree Show in June.

They’re looking for at least three final-year students from across SDCA, ideally one student from each of the following subject areas: Fine Arts, Graphic Communication and Illustration and Textiles.

These vlogs are an opportunity to showcase your portfolio of work to a wider audience. They will also share the processes involved behind the scenes to put together work for a show, showcasing the variety of skills required and the associated workload.

The videos can be filmed on your phone and don’t need to have super high production values, but should be filmed over the weeks running up to the Degree Show, rather than just being filmed in one go. They should be approximately five minutes long, although LU Arts may produce shortened edits for use on social media.

The videos will be uploaded to the LU Arts YouTube channel and shared on social media to help promote the Degree Show and your work to a wider audience. This can help you as you take your next steps on graduating from Loughborough.

How do I get involved?

If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please visit the LU Arts website for further details and to access the application form.

Deadline for expressions of interest is Monday 16 March 2026 (11pm).

If selected, you will be paid £80 on completion of your video.

If you would like to discuss any accessibility issues or may need further support to produce a video diary, then please email LUArts@lboro.ac.uk or call 01509 222948.
