By downloading the app, you can:
- Contact the University’s Security Team quickly in an emergency
- Request first aid assistance
- Use the check-in function when working alone or outside normal hours, providing additional reassurance for lone workers
- Receive important campus safety and incident alerts
Safezone is fully GDPR compliant and has been designed with privacy and security in mind.
Your location is not continuously tracked by the University and will only be shared when you actively raise an alert, request assistance or choose to use the check-in feature.

Getting Started
Downloading and registering is simple:
- Download SafeZone from:
(if WiFi stalls during the registration process, please complete using mobile data.)
2. Open the app and enter your University email address.
3. Sign in using your University Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials
(if you’re off campus, you will need the VPN)
4. Review and accept the End User Licence Agreement.
