Career Fest
The Autumn Career Fest is a six-week programme taking place from 29 September to 7 November. There will be various interactive events held for students, which are designed to help you:
- explore your career options
- meet potential employers
- apply for placements and jobs
- practice your interview techniques
- start your own business
- develop your existing skillset
These sessions will be led by experts in the Careers Network and employers across a variety of industries. For the latter, expect to hear from the likes of Deloitte, PwC, AWE, Nestle and Teach First, among many others. Expect plenty of opportunities to build connections, plus giveaways, competitions, and freebies.

Career Fair
The highlight of the Fest is the Careers Fair, taking place in the Sir David Wallace Sports Hall on:
- Monday 13 October, 2pm–7pm – Science and Engineering focus
- Tuesday 14 October, 11am–4pm – All sectors
Over 160 employers will be promoting graduate, internship, placement, vacation and volunteering opportunities within their organisations at the Autumn Careers Fair. There will be a range of top companies to speak to including L’Oreal, Lidl, Redbull Racing and Technology, JLR, Royal Air Force, Nestle, Civil Service Fast Stream, Unilever and many more.
Top tips to make the most out of the Fair:
- dress appropriately and make a great first impression
- stay open minded: the right role might be with a company you don’t yet know.
- do your research: view the full list of employees before attending the event
