Loughborough’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nick Jennings, is delighted to launch his annual Christmas Card design competition to students, with three prizes of £200 available to win.

The University’s strategy ‘Creating Better Futures. Together’ is outward and forward-looking, recognising the importance of our external influence and the impact of our actions on the world around us, and reflecting the challenges that face us as a society.

One of our strategic aims is to be more equitable, diverse and inclusive – and so, students interested in entering the competition are asked to consider the following statements, and develop designs which reflect a sense of kindness, community and connections beyond the campus.

  • We will create a culturally vibrant student community that benefits from the inclusion of students from across the globe and who are taught by diverse staff
  • We will be accountable for our actions, we will care for ourselves, others and our environment
  • We will foster team spirit and create a strong sense of community; we will work together with colleagues, students, alumni and partners

The competition is now open. For your chance to win one of three £200 prizes, please send your entries to Visual.Identity@lboro.ac.uk. The deadline for submissions is 3 November.

Please note the submission specification for print is A5 portrait or landscape and for files, 300dpi JPG, PNG or vector eps. The submission specification for digital is 900x600 pixels portrait or landscape and for files, JPG, PNG or GIF, with a maximum size of 800kb.
