The ECN is all about providing professional development and networking support for staff in the early stages of their career in higher education.
There are two roles currently vacant on the network’s committee. All staff and doctoral researchers can apply via the online form.

Media and Communications Lead
This role is all about leading the ECN’s communication activity. As a network, they want to keep members informed, engaged, and connected. They’re looking for someone who is organised, creative, and confident in communication with different audiences. Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Designing the ECN monthly newsletter for all members, signposting relevant resources and events (from both within the network and beyond).
- Working closely with the Events Lead to support event communications.
- Maintaining and developing the network’s website, building key messages, branding and accessibility features.
Events and Engagement Officer
This role will work closely with the Events Lead to plan, organise, and deliver engaging events and activities for network members. Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Planning and coordination from concept to delivery of engaging events that meet the needs of network members.
- Communicating with internal stakeholders to coordinate joint events and seek out where ECN activity can be promoted.
- Gathering and reporting on attendee feedback to explore how the network can keep improving their events.
