The RAeS awards are among the most respected accolades in the global aerospace community, celebrating outstanding achievement and innovation across aviation, aerospace and space.
NCCAT received the Bronze Team Medal in recognition of its long-term partnership with Rolls-Royce, which has delivered technical advances enabling significant fuel burn reductions across the company’s aeroengine fleet. This collaboration has supported hydrogen demonstrator and Sustainable Aviation Fuel programmes, produced hundreds of scientific publications, trained highly skilled engineers, and created unique national-scale infrastructure for the UK aerospace sector, strengthening sovereign capability and advancing Net Zero ambitions.
Alisdair Wood, FRAeS, President of the Royal Aeronautical Society, said: “We are proud to honour the exceptional individuals and teams recognised in this year’s Honours, Medals, and Awards. Their achievements represent the highest standards of excellence in aerospace, driving our sector forward and inspiring the next generation of aerospace pioneers. We celebrate their remarkable contributions and the lasting impact they continue to make on the global aerospace community.”
