Celebrate with the Chaplaincy at this year’s University Carol Service

The University Chaplaincy invites staff, students, and alumni to the annual University Carol Service.

The service will take place on Tuesday 10 December, 6pm-7pm in the Edward Herbert Building atrium. Doors open with refreshments served from 5.30pm.

Book your place via the online booking form.

Based on the traditional pattern for ‘Nine Lessons and Carols’ written by the Bishop of Truro at the turn of the 20th century, the service will include familiar carols, sacred and secular readings and a time for reflection.

The service will be led by Reverend Elizabeth York, with help from other chaplains, members of staff, and students. Music will be led by Tuxedo Swing and LSU Classical.

There will be a retiring collection in aid of Baca, a local charity who work to support young people forced to flee their home country because of war, persecution, or trafficking by providing a safe home, education and therapeutic care.

Come alone or with friends and colleagues to mark the journey to Christmas and celebrate together.
