A series of online talks by academics and researchers from all three universities promoted the practice of openly sharing and re-using research-related materials for education and research. Included were a range of disciplines, research lifecycle stages and experiences.
The week was opened by Professor Dan Parsons who said: “It's one of the really great examples of how the three universities in Leicestershire can come together on informatic areas around research and innovation.”
Throughout the week, speakers from the three universities shared their experiences, thoughts, and practices around Open Research, ranging from practical how-to's to discussions of ideological tensions.
The week was run in parallel with a similar event run by the universities of Liverpool, Edge Hill, Essex and Liverpool John Moores.
