Learning and Teaching Conference 2024: Bookings now open

The annual Learning and Teaching Conference will be held on 16 April, both online and in person in the James France Building.

The event provides an opportunity to celebrate the learning and teaching community at the University and offers a space to network and share innovative practice.

The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Inspire and Engage’, where we’ll be focusing on inspiring and engaging approaches that maximise the student learning experience.

The programme for the day is as follows:

  • 9am-9.30am: Registration and refreshments
  • 30am-9.45am: Welcome address from Professor Rachel Thomson, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Education and Student Experience
  • 45am-10.45am: Keynote talk (more details to be provided soon)
  • 45am-11am: Break
  • 11am-11.45am: Artificial Intelligence Panel Discussion
  • 45am-1pm: Lightning Talks about Assessment and Feedback, Student Engagement, and EDI and Student Success
  • 1pm-2pm: Lunch and networking
  • 2pm-3.20pm: Workshops
  • 20pm-3.50pm: Student panel
  • 50pm-4pm: Closing remarks
