LSU Rag: ‘Lost’ in support of Centrepoint charity

Rag at Loughborough Students’ Union (LSU) are running Lost, an event in support of Centrepoint, a UK youth homelessness charity.

In teams of three or four, students will leave campus by coach at 7am on 16 March to be left at a secret location in the UK, 100 miles from Loughborough. Teams have 24 hours to make their way back to campus as fast as possible, without spending any of your own money on travel.

Teams will have to barter and fundraise their way across the UK, facing additional challenges along the way to win points. Points will be given out for how much money your team fundraises, how quickly you get back, and how well you perform in the secret challenges.

This event is in support of Centrepoint, who provide supported housing, education, training, and support to over 16,000 young people every year. Currently, they aim to end youth homelessness by 2037 through their campaigning.

As well as fundraising during the event, students involved will set up a JustGiving page to raise money beforehand, with an expected minimum amount of £60.

Visit the LSU website to find out more information and sign up to take part.
