General Assembly: All staff invited to hear from the Vice-Chancellor

On Wednesday 22 May, our Vice-Chancellor Professor Nick Jennings will hold the next termly General Assembly.

This forum – which all staff are welcome to attend - is a great opportunity to reflect on our achievements and performance during the 2023/24 academic year so far, to hear an update on our University Strategy and to discuss what will be happening over the next few months.

Professor Jennings will also share important updates as well as lead a Q&A session with other representatives of the Senior Leadership team.

Additionally, this General Assembly will have a focused theme around our three Strategic Themes: Sport, Health and Wellbeing; Net Zero and Climate Change; and Vibrant and Inclusive Communities.

Attendees will receive a short presentation from the Associate Pro-Vice Chancellors for each theme, who will share information on key activities, achievements so far, and ways that staff can get involved in future events and opportunities.

General Assembly will take place from 2pm-3pm in Room EHB110A/B in the Edward Herbert Building on the East Midlands campus. Find out accessibility information about this building.

Whilst we encourage staff to join in person, the event can be accessed online via MS Teams, with live captions available. Book your place now. We will be offering colleagues the opportunity to submit questions before the date (accessible through the online booking form) as well as during the event.

Please note this General Assembly is not the specially convened General Assembly for colleagues to hear about the proposal to engage with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) – this event will take place on Thursday 6 June from 1pm-2pm – further information on this forum will be provided soon.
