Carers Week: Support available for student carers

Student Services will be hosting a stand and running a group event on campus as part of Carers Week from 5-11 June 2023.

The stand will be in the Edward Herbert Building from 12pm-1pm each weekday with useful resources available and as an opportunity for carers to ask the team any questions.

The Student Services team are also working with The Carers Centre to host the Student Together We Care Group event on 1 June, this session will focus on journaling and doodling for wellbeing.

The Student Together We Care Group is a free monthly group providing the opportunity for student carers to:

  • Meet other student carers to share experiences and ideas
  • Find ways to manage your studies alongside your caring responsibilities
  • Gain skills to help you manage your own wellbeing
  • Understand how to manage stress and cope with difficult situations
  • Join in with creative activities designed to boost your wellbeing.
