As a result of the feedback received from the Staff Experience Survey and data gathered within Project Expectations, some small changes will be made to the PDR 2023/24 year-end review. These changes will include the permanent removal of ratings from PDR, the opportunity to discuss wellbeing, career aspirations and how performance links to our values and our strategy. The changes will also seek to ensure that our behaviour and alignment with the University values become a more prominent feature of performance and development discussions.
Further details along with support materials for Reviewers and Reviewees will be made available in late November 2023.
Further work will continue through Project Expectations, in collaboration with colleagues, to develop a future range of activities that enable individuals to perform and thrive at Loughborough in line with our Strategy.
Interim Reviews
In the meantime, interim reviews, whilst optional, are actively encouraged to help us to regularly review our performance and objectives.
It is good practice to discuss any changes to expectations throughout the year, and not to wait until the end-of-year discussion. Therefore, PDR reviewers should arrange to hold a review meeting as appropriate, at a point that makes sense between when the PDR was conducted, and the end of the performance year in 2023.
