Apply now for the LU Arts scholarships

The deadline for applications is midday Monday 24 October and there are up to nine scholarships available to students who demonstrate ability, passion, commitment and potential in any art form.

Arts forms may include (but are not limited to) any genre of music, creative writing, poetry, photography, film, animation, any genre of dance, performing arts, textiles, visual arts and crafts.

For 2022-23, each scholarship winner will receive a £100 cash prize and a tailored package of support worth up to £500. This support could be in the form of one-to-one tuition, mentoring, masterclasses, training or attending relevant events to help develop your skills and knowledge. Scholarship students also have an opportunity to showcase their talents by presenting or performing their work during the year.

The scholarships recognise talent, but awards are also judged on commitment, passion and an assessment of who would benefit the most from the support. They are open to all current Loughborough University students from both the East Midlands and London campuses. This includes UG, PGT and PGR students from any subject area. Your art form must be something you do separately to your studies, so if you study Fine Art you can’t apply for support for your artistic practice which is linked to your course. Previous music and arts scholarship winners are not eligible to apply.

An online drop-in event will be held on Thursday 20 October between 12pm-2pm to answer any questions you have.
