Don’t miss Jack Absolute Flies Again at the Cope Auditorium

The National Theatre Live screening of this hilarious comedy will be held on 6 October with tickets at only £10 for members of the public/staff and £5 for students.

From the writer of ‘One Man, Two Guvnors’, Richard Bean, this new version of Sheridan’s The Rivals is a hilarious wartime farce with plenty of heart, set in 1940s pastoral Britain.

After an aerial dog fight, Pilot Officer Jack Absolute flies home to rejoin his fearless young Hurrciane squadron at RAF Fontwell. Once back on British soil. Jack is shocked to find his old flame, Lydia Languish, on the base. He sets his sights on winning her heart but his advances soon turn to anarchy when the young heiress demands to be loved on her own, very particular, terms.

Directed by Emily Burns, Jack Absolute Flies Again features Caroline Quentin, Laurie Davidson, Natalie Simpson and Kelvin Fletcher.
