Stock up with essential (and sustainable!) supplies and learn more about food waste at upcoming events on campus this week

Students and staff are encouraged to visit a zero waste pop-up shop and meet the Sustainability team to find out more about how to reduce food waste later this week.

On Tuesday 25 October, Eco Replenishers, a zero-waste shop based in the centre of Loughborough, will be on campus from 12pm-4pm selling a range of goods by the Edward Herbert Building entrance.

From cleaning solutions and beauty products to essential food items and toiletries, their range offers sustainable, vegan, and cruelty-free products.

So come along and bring your own reusable packaging – maybe you have some empty glass jars, or even some leftover takeaway containers from the weekend? These are perfect for storing dried food goods!

And on Thursday (27 October), the Sustainability team will be joined by a representative from the University’s waste contractor Enva to share top tips on how to reduce food waste.

So if you’re looking to find out how you can live more sustainably (and save money in the process!), come along to the stall in the Piazza at Loughborough Students’ Union from 10am-3pm. You can take part in some fun games and even leave with a few freebies too.
