The Peter Harrison Centre recognised at the UK Sport high-performance awards

The Peter Harrison Centre for Disability Sport (PHC) has been shortlisted for a UK Sports PLx 2022 award, in recognition of its research and applied support for 'collaboration and team working' within Para Sports.

The Centre was recognised in the Collaboration and team working – Best practice from a sport demonstrating impact in improving elite sport performance category at the annual awards ceremony.

The category recognised that: 'a high performing team, working well together is a genuine game changer in any high performance sport, but it isn’t easy. This award seeks to recognise a team, that has collaborated and worked together to deliver a significant impact, improving high performance in their field, since Rio 2016'.

After receiving the nomination Professor Vicky Tolfrey said: "While we may not have won on the night, we are incredibly proud of the fact that we were shortlisted for such a prestigious award at an event which provides great recognition for ParalympicsGB and those working alongside them."
