Learning and Teaching Conference 2022: Enhancing Assessment, Feeding Forwards

The annual Learning and Teaching Conference will take place on Wednesday 21 September, both in person at West Park Teaching Hub and online through Microsoft Teams.

This year the conference theme is ‘Enhancing Assessment, Feeding Forwards’ – putting the future of assessment and feedback at the centre of the programme. The conference is also an opportunity for the learning and teaching community to come together to celebrate and share good practice, innovations, and supportive resources.

The conference will open with a welcome address from the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience), Professor Rachel Thomson, with an update on the Education and Student Experience Core Plan. Following this, Professor Naomi Winstone, Professor of Educational Psychology and Director of the Institute of Education at the University of Surrey will give the external keynote, drawing on her research into feedback methods.

The conference includes lightning sessions from colleagues across both campuses, sharing their innovative practice and experiences of assessment and feedback. There will also be a selection of both in person and online interactive workshops and a student panel. The conference will end with a formal presentation of this year’s Teaching Awards.

Book your place and view the conference programme.
