Browsing online:

Shop only from reputable sites, and make sure the sites use a secure checkout. 

Check if the URL begins with https, as this is far more secure than a http URL. 

Avoid clicking on any random pop-ups too, as there's a strong likelihood that these could contain viruses. 

Social media:

Think about what you are sharing on social networks - stop and consider if you should be posting your personal information on your profiles.
