There’s still time to donate for Giving for Gold

Staff and students have until Wednesday 18 March to donate items for a range of local and national charities and not for profit organisations as part of Giving for Gold, an initiative led by Loughborough University and Loughborough Students’ Union.

Clothing and bedding, books, toiletries and non-perishable food are being accepted, and these can be dropped off at any of the 28 donation pods located across campus today and tomorrow. You can find out where the pods are by checking our dedicated Giving for Gold website.

Please note although donations will still be accepted on Wednesday (18 March), these should now be taken to the Piazza in the LSU Building instead of Room 1. Staff and student volunteers will be working hard behind the scenes on the day to pack the donations ready to be sent to the charities and not for profit organisations. Thank you gifts which were originally going to be handed out on the day to those who had supported the initiative will now be donated to good causes.

More information – including what items can and can’t be donated and the charities and other good causes that will benefit from this initiative - can be found here.
