Dr Huw Edwards
Senior Lecturer in Economics
Director of Postgraduate Programmes (Economics)
Huw Edwards is an economic modeller and applied theorist specialising in international trade, globalisation, regional integration and trade costs. He has advised on important international trade agreements, and is currently co-organising a major academic conference on trade after Brexit.

Dr Ahmad Hassan Ahmad
Lecturer in Macroeconomics
Dr Ahmad’s area of research expertise lies in international economics, monetary policies of developing countries, foreign exchange rate and macroeconomic dynamics.

Dr Anna Rita Bennato
Dr Bennato's area of research expertise spans across different areas of applied microeconomics and industrial economics. Most recently she has been focused on firms’ anticompetitive behaviour in response to government interventions and firms’ innovation strategies, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector.

Dr Ben Ferrett
Senior Lecturer in Economics
Dr Ferrett is an applied game theorist who builds economic models to analyse real-world issues. His current research interests cover international trade, industrial organisation and public economics, while most of his teaching focuses on the economics of globalisation. His research has received funding from the ESRC and British Academy.

Professor Monica Giulietti
Professor of Microeconomics
Deputy Head of Economics Discipline Group
Professor Giulietti’s area of research expertise focusses on competition policy and regulation, energy markets and energy demand. She is an advisor to the Council of European Energy Regulators and has been a member of the panel of technical experts for the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change.

Dr Karligash Glass
Senior Lecturer of Economics
Karligash is a Senior Lecturer in Economics and has recently been awarded a Teaching Innovation Award. Her research interests include; efficiency and productivity analysis, banking and transition and spatial econometrics.

Professor David Llewellyn
Professor of Money and Banking
Professor Llewellyn has until recently been Chairman of the Board of the Banking Stakeholder Group at the European Banking Authority (EBA). He is an internationally recognised expert in financial regulation and is regularly interviewed by Sky TV and other media outlets.

Professor Alistair Milne
Professor of Financial Economics
Professor Milne was previously reader in banking and finance at Cass Business School, City University of London and has also held positions at the Bank of England, the University of Surrey, London Business School, HM Treasury and the national statistics office of Malawi.

Professor David Saal
Professor of Microeconomics
Head of Economics Discipline Group
Co-Director, Centre for Productivity and Performance
Professor Saal is a Professor of Microeconomics and is an expert in the economic modelling of infrastructure industry costs and its application to infrastructure industry issues. He is Head of the Economics discipline group and Co-Director of the newly established Centre for Productivity and Performance at Loughborough University.

Dr Kavita Sirichand
Lecturer in Financial Economics
Dr Kavita Sirichand’s research focusses on applied financial economics and macroeconomics, particularly around interest rates, asset return predictability, forecasting and inflation.

Professor Paul Turner
Professor of Applied Economics
Professor Turner is Professor of Applied Economics. His research interests are in macroeconomics, monetary economics and applied econometrics.
