Geopolitics & International Affairs with Dr Chiara Libiseller: 'Reconceptualizing War'

Loughborough University staff and students are warmly invited to join us for the first Geopolitics & International Affairs webinar of 2026, which will take place 12pm - 1pm, on Wednesday, 14 October.

We will be joined by Dr Chiara Libiseller, who will be presenting on her new book Reconceptualizing War: The Rise and Fall of Fashionable Concepts in Strategic Studies (Oxford University Press, 2026).

Dr Libiseller is a Lecturer in Strategic Studies in the Department of War Studies, King's College London. Her research focuses on Western knowledge production of war and strategy and its effects on practice. Before joining King’s in August 2025, Chiara held positions at Leiden University, the University of Amsterdam, and the University of Innsbruck.
