Your Best Year Yet! Goal Setting Workshops
7 July
- For Staff and Students
- Lifestyle
Join me for an online or in-person workshop, where you will be guided through 10 crucial questions in a journal-style workbook, based on the book 'Your Best Year Yet!' by Jinny Ditzler. Expect time spent reflecting, journalling, and going through written exercises. You will, then, walk away with your personalised focus and purpose to help you make the best of your next 12 months, or more!
In-person options in Loughborough (3-hour workshops):
- Tuesday, 8 July 2025: 5pm-8pm
- Friday, 18 July 2025: 2pm-5pm
Online options on Microsoft Teams (2 x 2 hour workshops):
- Monday evenings, 2 x 2 hours, starting Monday 7 July 2025, 6.30pm-8.30pm, followed by Monday 14 July 2025, 6.30pm-8.30pm
- Sunday mornings, 2 x 2 hours, starting Sunday 13 July 2025, 9.30am-11.30am, followed by Sunday 20 July 2025, 9.30am-11.30am
You will receive your workbook in advance of the first session. You will then work through it during and in between the two sessions.
At the end, you will have a clear and focused plan for the next 12 months, and you will be ready to create your own vision board if you wish, and you will find yourself with clearer priorities and a more positive mindset for the coming months.
What is Goal Setting?
We might set out in our late teens / early twenties with great ambition about what degrees or qualifications we want to achieve, and we may even reach these early goals. But what about after that? Many people in their thirties or forties then drift from one job to the next because they need a job to have an income; then give up any remaining ambitions because they have a family or children, only to find themselves in their sixties or seventies talking about the great sacrifices they made or thinking ‘If only I…’ or ‘I wish I …’
Well, what if you could live a lifetime without regrets? What if you could live each year of your life with purpose and with the peace of mind that you have chosen to put your energy where it matters to you?
This is what goal setting can do for you.
This goal setting workshop allows you to take some time out of your busy schedule to reflect on where your life is heading and evaluate: am I happy with this, or is there something I would rather change? And if there is, let’s plan out how that can be achieved.
Some of the benefits of going through this process are:
- Gives you an opportunity to reflect, evaluate and learn.
- Allows you to set your priorities for the coming months.
- Gives you focus and makes decision-making a lot easier.
- Allows you to review your goals and priorities regularly.
I created and am running these workshops as my personal fundraising effort as the Loughborough University staff member for the Volunteer Zambia Sport project for 2025, so I will ask you to donate.

Please message me with any questions. I’d love to hear from you.
