Research participants needed: Free performance testing (VO2max/Lactate)
1 July
- For Staff and Students
- Research participant call-outs
I am looking for cyclists and triathletes (male or female) who ride at least once a month for more than 3 hours per session. You will receive a full physiological profile—including VO2max, Lactate Threshold, and HR zones—and will also be financially compensated for your time.
We are recruiting for an exciting research study at the University that will investigate how maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max), lactate thresholds and exercise economy/efficiency drift during moderate-intensity (below the lactate threshold) and heavy-intensity (above the lactate threshold) cycling exercise.
We need endurance-trained individuals to participate in this study. There are also Amazon vouchers (£50/visit = £200 total if you complete the study) to compensate you for your time in volunteering for the study. In addition, you will receive detailed information on your endurance physiology, including VO2max, lactate thresholds, exercise economy/efficiency and muscle fibre type.
Please view the study poster for more information.
