The Provider Panel is key to the OfS’s strategy, shaping future collaborations with higher education institutions across the UK. Stakeholders from across the spectrum of the sector, the panel’s experts will help the OfS understand the views of the diverse institutions it regulates and alert the body to emerging risks. It will work closely with the OfS’s wider governing structures, particularly the OfS Board and senior leadership team in their mission to deliver exemplary regulation in the interest of students.
Chair of the Provider Panel, Verity Hancock said: “As a longstanding board member and former college principal, I know how important it is for the OfS to have a two-way dialogue with the institutions we regulate. Every panel member will have their own perspective of the risks and opportunities facing the sector, and I’m looking forward to working with them over the coming year.”
Professor Jennings is passionate about contributing to a regulatory environment in the sector that supports excellence, innovation and inclusivity – principles that underpin Loughborough University’s vision. He will use his experience across academia, government and industry to provide insights to the operational realities of providers and the strategic imperatives of national policy.
