Annual Leave Purchase Scheme – Application window is now open

The Annual Leave Purchase Scheme (ALPS) is now open for applications for the next annual leave year (May 2026 – April 2027).

We’d like to share some more information about the scheme so you can consider whether this is something that you want to use.

Each year, there will be one window per year to apply. This will be 1-28 February. Eligible staff can purchase up to 10 additional days, or 74 hours (pro rata for part-time and non-standard contracts staff). Applications can be made through an online form, and your line manager provides the first level of approval.

The purchase is made via a salary deduction arrangement over the course of the annual leave year. Like other salary sacrifice arrangements, staff whose post-salary deduction pay would take them below the National Living Wage will be unable to participate.
