Operation Jingle Bells: Donate a gift to a child in need

Four people dressed as elves and one as santa, standing behind a pile of toys alongside the text 'Operation Jingle Bells, help us help children this Christmas'.

Operation Jingle Bells is an annual campaign led by LSU Action, supporting charities in the lead-up to Christmas.

This year, Loughborough Students’ Union are once again supporting three charities: Toys on the Table, Charnwood Toy Appeal and Life Beacon, which all help to support children around the Christmas period.

Staff and students are encouraged to donate a present to a child who otherwise would not receive one this Christmas.

You can donate anytime from now until Friday, 12 December by:

  • Placing an unwrapped gift into the sleigh located in the Students’ Union Building
  • Purchasing a gift from the Operation Jingle Bells’ Amazon wish list
  • Donating to the JustGiving page (LSU will then buy a gift on your behalf and add it into Santa’s sleigh)

If you would like to purchase a gift for Santa’s sleigh, we would suggest spending between £5 and £15 on your gift. There’s no age limit on toys or gifts, but this year we’d like to collect more gifts for 8 to 16-year-olds. Please make sure your gift is new and in its original packaging, and if your gift requires batteries, please provide these too.

Visit the Operation Jingle Bells webpage for more information.
